Learning Never Ceases

I'm picking up a new instrument, the tenor saxophone, knowing nothing about music and playing to compete with professionally trained teenage kids. It isn't easy, but I plan on giving them a good run for the money spent on their lessons. Having photography experience always works in my favour.

Learning comes slow past 50.

The inspiration comes from listening to Billy Vaughn's classic orchestra since age 5, and also alltime greats such as John Coltrane and Dexter Gordon.

You've Got to Admit - I Look Quite Saxy

Learning slows as you age, but learning always continues. Don't despair if you fail. Keep trying or try something different. The day I quit learning will be the day I'm a dead man walking.
